The famous Lewis and Clark Expedition camped for a few nights at this riverside location. Today, there are several campsites available for just $5 a night. Among all the McCall campgrounds in the area, this one is by far the most primitive, with only tent camping available.
Pitch a tent, spark a fire in the pit, and soak in the natural surroundings in the forests surrounding McCall. You’ll have prime access to the Payette River, where floaters and fishermen congregate throughout the season in search of steelhead and trout or a leisurely day on the river. There’s also access to several hiking trails, including the famous Huckleberry Loop Trail.
